About the role


We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and partner with our CEO to drive our sales process. In this role you will be the first sales team member at EON, opening up infinite opportunities for both personal and professional growth and success within the company. This role will have the opportunity to explore new tactics, methods and strategies in order to streamline and elevate the sales process while also speaking to development opportunities of our product roadmap. As the primary business development contact, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a business development strategy focused on financial gain, intentional partnerships and client satisfaction. 


This position reports to the CEO and will partner with our Leadership Team.


Salary: $105,000 - $160,000 


What you will do



  • Work with the CEO to identify ideal client profile with aims of driving client development and outlining new business opportunities for our SaaS tool

  • Manage our existing sales pipeline as well as the development of new business opportunities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, clients, partnerships, products and services

  • Identify new ways of reaching existing markets

  • Leverage current and new networks and other outbound strategies to conduct outreach and set up prospect conversations

  • Find the proper account contact of potential clients and explore new business opportunities to create long-term successful partnerships worldwide

  • Prepare, schedule and conduct product demonstrations for potential clients, mapping product capabilities to the nuances of individual needs

  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

  • Track the performance of the sales pipeline in Salesforce and report sales metrics to leadership team and all company on a regular basis

  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources

  • Help synthesize feedback and become an important input to the product roadmap, as you identify opportunities to differentiate EON and tell our story better

  • Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals

  • Prepare sales contracts and SOWs ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines


Additional qualifications and considerations 



  • 5 years’ experience in Sales and Business Development (preferably for a Cloud Based or SaaS tool)

  • Proficiency in Salesforce

  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Extensive market knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients

  • Experience with setting up the sales and operations business structures for a tech start-up

  • Comfortable with data-focused products

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Strong negotiation skills with the talent to think strategically
