What does a CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE - Fire and Theft do
What is required?
Education:
Experience:
Prior Claims Adjusting Experience with some Material Damage knowledge
Prior experience involving investigative experience including SIU, Fire/Theft, Law Enforcement
Valid State Adjuster License where required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

What does a CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE - Fire and Theft do
- Complete thorough recorded statements with all parties
- Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to determine when follow up questions are needed not included on statement templates
- Complete and document ISO, summarize findings
- Run/Analyze backgrounds including liens judgements Carfax and recalls
- Work collaboratively with SIU and NICB to complete investigations
- Consult with all parties including agents, witnesses, lienholders, and other parties to complete claim investigations
- Mitigate excessive storage costs by aggressively managing vehicle recoveries
- Manage all vehicle inspections, repairs, and rental management
- Follow management and leadership direction
- Identify subrogation potential
- Review and complete coverage investigations
- Notify underwriting of policy changes, additional premium, and material misrepresentation issues
- Draft and send reservations of rights letters, and state required letters including compliance notifications
- Manage file until salvage has sold if applicable, monitor total loss handling
- Ability to organize, analyze, and effectively determine risk and appropriate response
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adjust reserves according to Material Damage estimation
What is required?
Education:
- High School Degree or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience and/or post-secondary education (i.e. claims adjuster experience).
Experience:
Prior Claims Adjusting Experience with some Material Damage knowledge
Prior experience involving investigative experience including SIU, Fire/Theft, Law Enforcement
Valid State Adjuster License where required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
