Summary



The Senior Director, Supply Chain position fulfills a critical role within the senior leadership team of the business unit and will lead and oversee a team of supply chain professionals that are tasked with planning, scheduling, production control, inventory management, procurement, and continuous improvements efforts to meet customer commitments and ensure the financial success of the business plan. This role will ensure demand and production plans are balanced to meet complex and ever-changing customer requirements, especially strategic customers and continue to drive more efficient and effective inventory flow times. The Procurement group is responsible for delivering important cost savings to the operating groups as key business partners. Additionally, the position will provide purchasing expertise and work with the leadership team to support the various internal departments who utilize these assigned categories and support stakeholders in both vendor management and contract negotiation as needed.



Essential Functions



  • Work in partnership with the senior leadership team to ensure company-wide initiatives and objectives are achieved

  • Direct the planning function across the operations which is responsible for facility loading, item management, certification, and production control:
    • Responsible for Master Scheduling function that coordinates load across the BU and scheduling within the operations

    • Accountable for forecasting, monitoring product flow, reacting to changes in customer demand and level loading production with a focus on flow and inventory management

  • Develop and implement systems that connect ATI integrated value streams by working across BUs to drive more efficient and effective inventory flow times

  • Lead the procurement function with responsibilities for raw materials, capital, MRO, services and other indirect spend:
    • Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for the department to promote effectiveness and efficiency

    • Responsible for procurement spend, cost savings, inventory management, risk mgt., and supplier performance management

    • Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers

    • Analyze market pricing and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability

    • Participate in ATI Strategic Sourcing initiatives

    • Direct and coordinate activities of teams engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies

    • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials

  • Direct department policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.



Requirements:

Basic Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 7 – 10 years' experience in senior leadership roles

  • Supply Chain experience in procurement, inventory management and project management.

  • Experience with strategic and long-term contract negotiations

  • Experience with negotiating raw material contracts and supplies


Preferred Qualifications



  • MBA preferred

  • APICS certification is preferred

  • Experience in cost/financial analytics along with an ability to initiate and propose cost saving projects is preferred.
