Financial Controller. Job in Livonia My Valley Jobs Today
Exciting Controller opportunity with a growing Automotive Manufacturing company based in Livonia, MI! This individual will have the opportunity to quickly grow into a leader of the finance department and will be a driving factor in the continuous growth of the organization, working alongside the CFO.
Description:
Assist management with important financial decisions
Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, cashflow forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of the business
Monitor the company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
Understand the financials of the company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
Maintain banking and lending relationships
Manage all accounting operations including invoicing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and project revenue recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Perform month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings with local CPA firm
Work with local CPA firm on preparation of annual compilation reports for submission to lending institutions
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Assist with cost estimating for quotations

- 5+ years experience as a financial controller
- Proven experience creating financial statements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
