Virtual Strategic Account Manager (Inside Sales) – Mid-Atlantic

Location: Office based in Durham, NC or Home based in Mid-Atlantic Location

The Virtual Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing incremental business with new and existing commercial customers leveraging Juniper’s world class partner ecosystem. The candidate will excel in this dynamic role by leveraging a team of Sales Development Representatives, Partner Account Managers, and Sales Engineers to support growth of their territory.

What you will do

  • Proactively prospect for new clients
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial prospect through to closing sales, working both directly with clients and with partner vendors on business opportunities
  • Manage both new and existing clients, develop your pipeline of opportunities
  • Accurately forecast and report to sales management
  • Work on RFPs in collaboration with external and internal teams
  • Meet agreed monthly targets as set by the Sales Director
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of our client relationship management (CRM) system – Salesforce

Profile

  • Hunter mentality, self-motivated, self-starter, takes initiative
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and be coached
  • Manage opportunities, quota attainment, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management
  • Responsible for building 3.5x pipeline
  • Engages resources, including the BU's to drive sales success
  • Provides accurate and timely forecasts to sales management
  • Well-organized and strong follow through
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technology, value propositions and solutions
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers/partners and gains their trust and respect
  • Wants to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

You will also need…

  • 3 years’ experience in Solutions selling, along with a strong network of relevant contacts
  • Proven ability to influence and drive new business
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred with proven sales experience in the high-tech industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines, meticulous attention to detail, organized
  • A positive, enthusiastic, resilient, and driven attitude
  • A passion for sales, particularly within the commercial environment
  • An ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Target driven, creative and persuasive, with proven negotiating skills
  • Demonstrable sales target achievements
  • Experience working on (and winning) proposals
  • Proven record of accomplishment of meeting/exceeding quota
  • Experience with CRM – SFDC
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environment
