The University of Texas at Dallas has an excellent job opportunity for individuals looking to join our team as a Program Manager in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department with the Jindal School of Management (JSOM).

The Program Manager will work closely with the Undergraduate Program Director for the Supply Chain Management Program on various aspects of program management. Key responsibilities include assisting with student management, student recruiting, and working with faculty and campus administration to support the degree program.

A successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in the following:

  • Adaptable and able to quickly and effectively develop and balance multiple relationships and get results from a variety of people

  • Basic presentation and facilitation skills

  • Basic project and time management skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong initiative, drive for results, and self-assessment skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Basic understanding of social media and familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Must be comfortable working with youth and adults

  • Ability to create professional flyers for various events






Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree; Three to five years experience in a field relevant to the program; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.





Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree with concentration or major in Supply Chain Management or Higher Education. Prior Higher Education experience preferred.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties Include:



  • Manage business relations of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) area internships and full-time jobs. Collect, manage and summarize data and records associated with internships and full-time job placements.

  • Work closely with the JSOM Career Management Center (CMC) to support ongoing recruiting and placement efforts.

  • Build relationships with campus partners, including Admission & Recruitment, Academic Advising, Career Center, JSOM Career Management Center Learning Communities, and Undergraduate Programs.

  • Assists in report generation such as enrollment reports, Dean's reports, internship reports, and job placement reports.

  • Assists with departmental processes such as syllabi review, assigning faculty mentors, assessment data collection, and email communication with students.

  • Attend regular strategy meetings with the dean, associate deans, area coordinator, and program directors.

  • Initiate, manage and supervise recruitment activities, ad campaigns, web and search engine campaigns, student testimonials, and scholarship management.

  • Prepare email campaigns for prospective students advertising our program.

  • Assist with event planning for current and prospective students, including planning student mixers, planning info sessions and other outreach activities,

  • Planning/scheduling High school and Community College visits for recruitment as needed.

  • Assist in preparing marketing materials/flyers for various events.

  • Assist with website updates and tracking Search Engine Optimization and content management.

  • Responsible for social media updates to various social media outlets, including Facebook and Twitter.

  • Provide internship guidance and assist with placement and internship reporting for existing students.

  • Assist with survey creation and data collection from existing students, which includes summarizing selected from the exit survey.

  • Assist with input and engagement tracking (data input and data collection for I&E reports).

  • Reply to prospective student inquiries and answer questions concerning the program, transfer requirements, and scholarships.

  • Other duties may be assigned.
