At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:
+ Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
+ Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs. Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time
+ Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures
+ Performs and may provide guidance on all phases of the software development lifecycle
+ Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
+ May provide guidance for less-experienced software developers in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
+ Performs and provides guidance on software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
+ Provides relevant analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
+ Thoroughly documents the software or system process for future maintenance and updates
+ May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced professionals
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
+ BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
+ 10+ years of experience in a professional capacity
+ Software Development Experience with JAVA, JSP, J2EE, SQL, WebSphere (7 or higher), Eclipse, Subversion or GitHub
+ Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
+ Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
+ Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
+ Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
DESIRED
+ Experience with Struts, CSS, Html, Unix, Jenkins/EBS

**The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years.
