Manager, Corporate Accounting
The Manager, Corporate Accounting will assist with leading our global close and consolidation process to meet deadlines for internal and external reporting. This role is responsible for leading consistency and accuracy in our close processes in accordance with US GAAP and company policies. Additionally, the role will drive efficiencies, a strong control environment to enable best practices, standardization, and scale within a global growing organization.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and develop and lead a team, enabling a cross functional accounting environment. The role will also serve as a business partner with other teams within the global CFO organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages month end close activities and general accounting functions, including:
Ensure transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with US GAAP, internal controls and company policies
Manage account reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations
Manage general ledger, payroll, prepaids and fixed asset related entries
Closing and reconciliation of the general ledger and all financial systems
Provide analysis of variances relating to financial results- Ensure consistency in processes between domestic and international accounting teams and multiple ERPs
Prepares and review corporate accounting schedules required as support for quarterly and annual SEC filings
Serves as key contributor and interface for internal and external audits
Develops and maintains accounting policies that align with US GAAP, working with Tax and local teams, and researching and concluding on differences required for tax and local reporting
Enhances and enforces policies, procedures, and controls of the organization through Information Systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation
Communicates with local and foreign subsidiaries on new accounting issues and resolution
Serves as business partner with other departments on accounting related projects
Assists in treasury management initiatives, including management of foreign currency exposure
Provides guidance, coach and develop a high-performing, high-potential accounting team, serving as a strong positive leader, mentor and advisor who is willing to work alongside the team

Environment: Hybrid - corporate headquarters, with remote opportunities
Some travel may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven organizational, time management, project management, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
Strong accounting and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to adapt, communicate and connect with teams in a global diverse environment- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Advanced Microsoft application skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- 6+ years of related progressive experience in corporate accounting and consolidations
6+ years of experience in a large ERP system environment (SAP, Oracle, Blackline)
Experience working for a multi-national company
Previous experience in mentoring and leading a successful team
Solid working knowledge of US GAAP

Public company experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
EDUCATION:
Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field

CPA Certification
COMPENSATION:
As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the hires in the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
