Key Accountabilities
- Ability to define, develop, test, and maintain new software applications to be used by programs.
- The skill to write computer code and software, test, and analyze software programs and applications.
- Work with other developers to test, and implement applications, database changes, and reports.
- Demonstrates a commitment to building software that provides an excellent end user experience, and the ability to work independently within a team to complete assigned tasks.
- Application Developer has excellent knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms.
- The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements and Skill Set
- Proven experience as application developer
- Experience in designing and building applications
- Experience and knowledge of designing and implementing data bases
- In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
- Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
- A team player with e xcellent communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience with BSc/BA in Computer Science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred.
- Certified application developer is a plus
- Build code that fulfills specific programming needs / Ability to trouble shoot and develop solutions for code
- Degree / Certification in application development
- Collaborate with internal team and to set specifications for new applications
- Design creative prototypes according to specifications
- Perform unit and integration testing before launch
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
- Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
- Linux/Unix Applications Development (C/C++, Shell etc.)
- SQL, Oracle, ACCESS
- Python
- C#.net
- Website Design
