The Sales Administrator supports the sales team by providing administrative and organizational assistance. Provides bid generation support, manages, and maintains sales funnel (forecasting), facilitates communication and sponsors department meetings. Communicates with vendors and customers and arranges for third party inspections. Track sales KPIs using software tools to improve the accuracy of the sales funnel and forecast. Tracks performance against metrics and performs sales incentive calculations.

Location: This position will be Remote, from home office, within the USA and/or can be near one of our Sciex offices: Locations: Framingham, MA or Brea, CA or Redwood City, CA

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Reviews, prepares, processes, reconciles, tracks quotations, proposals, e-commerce orders, purchase orders, and contracts accuracy and compliance for instrument products.

  • Review quotes and sales orders for revenue recognition requirements.

  • Answer overflow calls from Que system call center.

  • Identify process and/or business gaps to streamline workflows as it relates to the immediate Sales Administration team and/or overall CS organization.

  • Document sales order errors and prepare documentation for credit/rebills.

  • Proactively manage, follow up and maintain all open orders

  • Responsible for maintaining and following through on scheduling reports.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Requires the knowledge and skills normally acquired through successful completion of an Associate Arts (A.A) degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3-4 years of customer service, order management and/or sales administration experience.

  • Experience with Saleforce.com, Oracle 11i a plus and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Verbal and written communication skills to articulate clearly and effectively with external and internal customers.

  • Analytical skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists.

  • Set priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to remain flexible to accommodate fluctuations in workload.

  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, customer contracts, quotes, purchase orders, and procedure manuals.

  • Basic product line knowledge of both instruments and consumables.
