Based in the South Central US, this position is a key part of our growth strategy for our energy transition business. You'll lead siting and permitting efforts for renewables projects, while mentoring and growing those in support roles. If your preferred emphasis is technical leadership, management or sales, we put the right support pieces around you to accomplish the growth goals. If you want to grow in a particular area, you will be assigned a mentor. Working with your supervisor, you will have a set of objectives each fiscal year and a plan for career growth which will be revisited on a consistent basis as you establish yourself and learn more about career opportunities at Jacobs. Your input on innovations to enhance sales and delivery of work will be encouraged. Your success will be rewarded with progressively more opportunity and commensurate changes in level and compensation.


Preferred locations are Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and Kansas City, but the position can align with any of our US offices. Jacobs supports work from home and flexible schedules; being regularly present within a Jacobs office is not mandatory.


Here's What You'll Need:




  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental planning, natural resources, or other related technical degree




  • Project management experience for siting or permitting of capital projects (e.g., oil and gas, renewables, data centers, transmission)




  • Environmental clearance experience for hydrogen, wind, solar, electric transmission, or battery storage projects




Ideally, You'll Also Have:




  • Master's degree in environmental science, environmental planning, natural resources, or other related technical degree




  • Professional certification
