In 2014, Grosvenor formerly established the Co-Investment team to manage and expand to companies roster of investment partners and to manage the companies Structured Development Finance (SDF) Programme. Grosvenor’s existing 6 capital partners have invested with the company for on average 18 years. With $1.2 billion in in third party capital under management, the company expects to double its third-party investment business over the next 4 years. Grosvenor’s SDF program was established in 2000 and provides preferred equity financing for residential led developments. To date, the programme has financed over 80 development projects across Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC, representing over $4bn in total developable value. The Co-Investment team comprises 13 professionals based in Vancouver, San Francisco, and Washington DC. Purpose of role This position reports directly to the Chief Co-Investment Officer (“CCIO”) and supports the Senior Vice President, Co-Investment. The role will provide a high level of administrative support in all areas of activity focusing on capital partnerships and investor relations. The position will also support certain activities and provide administrative related support for other members of the Capital Markets team. Key responsibilities To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability needed. This includes the following; other duties may be assigned as needed within skill sets or if additional responsibilities are added. Executive Assistant Provide Executive Assistant support to the CCIO and Senior Vice President, Co-Investment, Co-Investment Coordinate with SDF and Capital Markets team on monthly and quarterly reporting requirements Facilitate reporting to Grosvenor Board and Chief Executive Officer for the CCIO Produce professional quality and accurate presentations for investor presentations Coordinate and manage Capital Markets calendar Coordinate travel including flights, hotels, and other transport needs, with the assistance of an outside agency where appropriate Over time, build an understanding of critical contacts (investors, consultants, brokers etc.) Perform administrative tasks such as editing, proofreading, PowerPoint presentations, preparing Concur expense reports, and preparing outgoing correspondence as necessary Help in the preparation of the Co-Investment team annual budget Process payments using Nexus Payables software Investor Relations Work with the Grosvenor Capital Markets team and the Investment and Development teams across all of GPA to support capital raising efforts Coordinate internal Capital Markets meetings and follow up on action items with the members Coordinate external investor calls and meetings making sure any follow up items are complete Assist with Capital Market projects such as marketing collateral, business cases, presentations and partnership materials Working closely with Capital Markets team, to maintain and manage communications and relations with partners and their respective team members, ensuring they are provided professional, accurate, and consistent information Co-ordinate regular partnership meetings including event planning, preparing tour books and presentations Manage the CRM platform (Juniper Square) to ensure contacts are up to date, maintain records of partnership correspondence and organize the data rooms Assist with the coordination of due diligence for new partnerships Key relationships Chief Co-Investment Officer Senior Vice President, Co-Investment Portfolio Management Co-ordinator, Co-Investment Preferred skills Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary education with a high level of achievement is preferred Track record 3+ years of executive administrative support Some experience in real estate and/or investor relations is preferable Proven track record in a successful team-based environment is essential Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Ability to act quickly, decisively, proactively, and independently Technical skills/knowledge Strong computer skills, especially using the Microsoft Office suite of products Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, including proofreading At Grosvenor, we seek to recruit and develop people who share our values – Integrity, Respect and Trust – and have the skills and ambition to help us implement our strategy. We stick to our promises, build lasting relationships with partners and work closely and responsibly with local communities.
