The Global Technology & Operations group (GTO) / IDI Claims is a diverse team of claim professionals that handle all aspects of an Individual Disability Income Claim. This role will provide exemplary customer service by supporting the processing of Individual Disability Income Claims in a timely and accurate fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
IDI Claims operates in a paperless environment. Skills involving mail processing, scanning, indexing, and reviewing are required on in house scanning equipment.- Performs various support functions with standard procedures and under specific instructions.
Examines various transactions and documents for correctness to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
May select, classify, or compile information from sources to prepare reports or studies.
May examine and evaluate inquires; replies by telephone or standard form letter.- May receive and review data from sources including policyholders; may interpret data and translate it into appropriate media for system input.
May maintain files and/or classify, index, and cross-reference records.
Support an 800 line for claim inquiries and transfers to appropriate parties.
Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- High School Diploma.
1-3 years of business-related experience
Strong communication skills
Strong customer service.
Attention to detail
Preferred:
Able to work as a team
Knowledge of company operations, insurance products, lines of business, relevant regulations, and administrative systems.
