Support Desk Engineers: remote or Marquette, MI

LucidCoast AIS seeks entry level Support Desk Engineers for career-path positions on their Michigan cybersecurity team. Applicants have a choice of working remotely or in LucidCoast’s Marquette, Michigan office. Preference given to candidates currently located in Michigan.

If you’re able to work directly (and remotely) with customers to resolve technical issues and answer technical questions specific to endpoint security, this is the place to be. Support Engineers work with the Tanium brand management platform to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. This is accomplished by us providing you complete training on the Tanium products and you, in turn, being reactive and proactive in meeting or exceeding customer experiences when using Tanium. Whether you are still in college, recently completed a technical program, or have technical skills but have never worked in a technical field and are looking for a change, this may be a perfect fit for you. All levels of experience are welcome.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Use your knowledge to install and configure Windows, MacOS, LinuxOS or AIX/Unix-based OS.


• Focus on customer service working directly with end users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.


• Work with enterprise security and/or operations.


• Work with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and Active Directory.


• Use your knowledge of corporate firewall administration, port forwarding, virtualization, etc.


• Work cross-functionally with other teams to drive initiatives.


• Master new concepts/technologies; continually striving to master the Tanium platform and modules.


• Solve problems by breaking them down into manageable and ordered piece parts, and successfully convey the problem statement and plan to others.

• $50,000 – $55,000 starting annual salary based on your knowledge and experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• 1 or more years’ working in the areas of networking, security, operations, scripting and/or programming experience in a corporate or educational setting. Apprenticeship opportunities available.


• Degree or technical certificate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field a plus, but not required.


• Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certifications, or similar certification, a plus.


• Intellectual curiosity and an aptitude for comprehending complex troubleshooting.


• You are able to share and collaborate with peers and understand wins involve a team effort.


• You are motivated and can work effectively in a remote environment with little supervision.


• Prioritizing, a responsive and engaging personality, and meeting deadlines is second nature to you.
