Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented User Interface Designer to join our team for R emote work that allows 100% Telecommuting and working from home anywhere in the United States!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Candidate should be an expert with extensive experience in User experience/user interface design and perform UI heuristic evaluation and testing.
Demonstrate experience in cognitive walkthrough usability inspections.
Understanding of 508 compliancy and be able to provide recommendations on making the UI 508 compliant.
Performs as a technical expert in the design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or complex enhancements to existing software.
Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems.
Resolves customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
Participates in the development of software user manuals or other documentation.
Assists in the training of less experienced software development staff and may act as a team leader on less complex projects.
No supervisory responsibilities, accountable for own contribution.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Java software development on Linux based systems
Requires 5 to 7 years or more of related experience in software development. Preferred: Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent.
Requires conceptual knowledge of practices and procedures within a particular area of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pega experience is not necessary, but preferred.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Applicants MUST HAVE an active TOP SECRET
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $94,000-$165,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it's employees beyond just compensation.
