Overview:


Atlanta Operations has an immediate opening for a Field Engineering Assistant (FEA). Under general supervision, the Field Engineering Assistant provides complete administrative and technical support to a team of Field Engineering.


Responsibilities:

The incumbent’s main responsibilities are:

  • Assists the Plan Review group in proofreading and distribution/delivery of plan letters to clients, responsible for managing all PR submittals and inbox monitoring, reviews submittal for high-level completeness and creates plan letter template. Conducts plan submittal follow-up as needed.

 

  • For Field Engineering, the incumbent assists in risk improvement follow-up as directed by the Field Engineers.

 

  • In addition, the incumbent follows up with Field Engineers and Group Manager Field Engineering to ensure Project Work status is up to date.

 

Incumbent is tasked in the field operations to support engineering teams, plan review, and office engineering functions. Incumbent interacts with clients and consulting engineers on a daily basis and requires strong customer service skills. Due to the nature of plan letter distribution, incumbent needs to have an attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, a sense of urgency, and a strong ability to pivot.  This role requires simultaneous attention to many details, evaluating complex situations, and the ability to work with FM Global employees and clients. Excellent language skills, both oral and written are necessary. The successful candidate is detail oriented and has excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • 4 year College Degree/Bachelors
  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience supporting a work group and/or manager.
  • Project coordination experience preferred
