We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.


What you get to do :


We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements.


They will be critical to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements. This position will report to the Sr.


Manager of Technical Accounting. The position will interact closely with the Accounting Department, Finance and Operations.


The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communications skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to explain the cause and impact of financial results.


What you will contribute :



Produce the quarterly financial statements, notes, and variance explanations from prior periods for internal and external stakeholders including equity owners.



Review and document the tie out and underlying support.



  • Work within the monthly close process timelines, including documenting reviews for select processes.

  • Prepare the consolidated and subsidiary cash flow statements.

  • Prepare reports as required under debt agreement.

  • Prepare consolidation entries and other intercompany transactions.

  • Assist in complex accounting projects, including valuation and accounting for business combinations, and accounting for debt and equity instruments, and other non-routine accounting entries or analysis.

  • Assist with the annual audit process, including preparation of various audit support requests.

  • Assist in implementing and executing process improvements and controls.

  • Participate in other projects as required.

  • Prepare regulatory report filings for non-US entities.

What you bring to Uplight



  • Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience or combination public accounting and industry experience.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Experience with SEC reporting, a plus.

  • Ability to research various accounting issues.

  • Knowledge of NetSuite, a plus.

  • Advanced system skills including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and highly effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively cross functionally.

Salary Range : $64,100 to $74,200


In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above.


The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
