Key Role Description




The Talent Business Analyst Manager is responsible for providing support to the Talent Business Advisors in the delivery of strategic services to Tax while also supporting general talent inquiries of Tax. Areas of specific focus will be the Partner, Principal and Managing Director (PPMD) performance management and admission processes, employee compensation and other national projects. This individual will help the Talent Business Advisors translate business strategies into actionable Talent strategies.



Job Responsibilities:


  • Assists in executing the day-to-day activities of the national Tax PPMD admissions process. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and support the Admissions Promotion Tool (APT) and provide support to talent business advisors with technology questions

  • Perform data analysis and reporting for due diligence committee and tax leadership

  • Assist in coordination of annual due diligence meeting. Attend meeting to assist in capturing recommendations and deliverables.

  • Manage the analysis and evaluation of the admission process to identify key talent issues and trends facing the business, formulate actionable results and identify areas of improving the processes for future years

  • Works with Lead Talent Business Advisor to support the Tax function in planning and executing the PPMD performance management and earnings allocation/compensation processes by:

  • Contribute to process planning activities

  • Perform and interpret analyses that support process reviews and leadership decisions

  • Produce and review presentation materials for leadership meetings

  • Execute various process activities, such as preparing Elevate (performance management application) for annual processes, collecting ratings/peering/unit information from stakeholders, and supporting peering committee activities

  • Respond to data requests from within the organization regarding PPMD information by researching the data request/need for data, obtaining approval from the appropriate parties, and compiling information responsive to the request and in compliance with confidentiality protocol

  • Strategic advisor for Tax Compensation and Rewards Excellence, with year-round support for National US Tax Talent and Leadership. Responsibilities include:

  • Working directly with Tax Chief Talent Officer (CTO), Lead Talent Director (LTD) and Compensation Lead Business Advisor on macro planning, competitive analysis, and year-end compensation planning.

  • Analyzing performance, market and business data to develop the vision, development, implementation, execution and communication of US Tax Compensation and Reward Excellence.

  • Ensuring a "One Talent Team" collaboration is met by teaming with the Centers of Excellence, Core Talent Services, Performance Management and other Talent channels to deliver integrated Talent services to support Business strategies and priorities.

  • Being the point of contact for the extended Tax Talent Business Advisor team, while ensuring the effective execution of compensation.

  • Manage compensation throughout the year by owning the project plan, off-cycle processes, contingent promotions, off-line files and job alignments with the roll-out of HXM.

  • Supervise and manage Business Analyst group for Tax Talent.

  • In a manager role, oversee the project responsibilities and deployment of the team of Tax Talent Analysts

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and team efficiencies

  • Report on performance and provide for development of team members

  • Support CTO and LTD on other processes and projects as necessary. This may include but not limited to:
  • Regular talent reporting for tax executive leadership

  • Ad hoc requests and analysis as requested from leadership

  • Regular Attrition analysis



Job Requirements/Qualifications


  • Ability to think strategically in connection to the big picture

  • Advanced proficiency with analysis, interpretation and presentation of large data sets

  • High degree of organization, attention to detail and quality

  • Effective planning and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excel- needs to effectively write and validate formulas and calculations, create tables and graphs, link information, create pivot tables, use vlookup formulas, manage multiple sources of data, and ensure data accuracy

  • PowerPoint- effectively communicate in presentation format, storyboarding, create/import tables, graphs, and other objects, and aesthetical formatting

  • Ability to interface with Senior Leadership

  • Experience working with highly confidential/sensitive data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Tableau a plus

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future



Education & Experience


  • Project management experience strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study

  • HR certification preferred

  • 7-10 years of related experience

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,000-$159,000.



You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
