AECOM is seeking a VP, Digital Solutions Director to lead, track, and implement global strategic growth initiatives within the West region. While the leader will focus on the Digital AECOM growth initiative they will be expected to integrate and advance AECOM's other key growth initiatives including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

This leader will be a member of the Regional Leadership team and be able to leverage their relationships to change the way we work. This position can be performed remotely, with occasionally going into the office and traveling as needed. We are seeking candidates in Chicago, IL/Denver, CO/and Dallas, TX.

This role will sponsor and oversee digital leaders within the region who are focused on adoption of digital capabilities in 3 key areas:

-Maturing the digital delivery of the core design and engineering services, in each of the business lines, through the adoption of global platforms and processes.

-Growing digital consulting services, offered to key clients to support them on their own digital transformation journey.

-Growing our hosted services business within the region to differentiate our offerings and new deliver value from our global intellectual property.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides technical and management leadership for a discipline or area of responsibility.
  • Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
  • Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with senior-level managers within the company and with key officials of other organizations and companies, and is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
  • At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature technical judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual structure/design problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse activities.
  • Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
  • Tailor global digital strategies and priorities to meet the needs and priorities of the West region
  • Review and provide feedback to global team on initiative implement ability, challenges, and areas for improvement
  • Understand, plan for, tailor, and implement global strategic growth initiatives in the West, including ESG and IIJA
  • Coordinate and track digital strategy, adoption, pursuits, and project delivery with US West digital team (including Business Line Digital Leads, hosted services sales leads, adoption leads)
  • Working with Digital Consulting lead, identify and track key US West digital consulting team members, pipeline, and revenue
  • Coordinate and delegate regional software rationalization approvals
  • Align digital strategies with regional growth strategies and focus on key clients
  • Ensure the regional leadership team clearly identify and track the business outcomes from broad adoption of digital solutions
  • Support business line leaders by tracking adoption of each global digital solution with business line digital leaders
  • Support teams to identify and remove barriers to adoption
  • Enable collaboration between core business teams and digital teams
  • Promote the digital consulting service offerings internally and externally
  • Promote the hosted services offerings internally and externally
  • Recognize outstanding contributions and outcomes
  • Showcase proof points and case studies
  • Celebrate success

Attributes/skills:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work as a positive, energized and adaptable team member
  • Flexible with work times to align with colleagues in different time zones
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and influence senior leaders
  • Extremely strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to champion and drive ideas/programs/solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
  • Able to demonstrate passion, energy and drive, especially in the face of resistance

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including at least 4 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated passion for digital adoption
  • Key client relationships and business development capabilities
  • Strategy implementation and/or change management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated inspirational leadership
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Information Management, or related field
  • MBA or other business degree (desirable)
  • Change Management or Strategy Management qualifications (desirable)
