Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics to improve our products.
- Work collaboratively with other designers, developers, product managers and stakeholders to deliver designs that meet the needs of our users.
- Work closely with design team to develop and expand our product design system and principles.
- Contribute ideas represented in sketches, wireframes, prototype, or workshops - and continue to sharpen and develop your and the team's skills.
- Problem solve and iterate on solutions based on data, research, feedback and constraints that may include time and/or technology.
Required Skills
- 4+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of design principles and their application to digital experiences
- Skilled at providing clear rationale for design decisions and processes to cross-functional stakeholders for feedback.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, content strategy) on technical implementation.
- Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment.
- Detail focused in regard to UI, and willing to push for perfection.
- Experience conducting usability studies.
- Experience creating wireframes and prototypes.
- Testing and iterating on designs.
- Relentlessly User-centric and focused on balancing priorities despite limitations.
- Have knowledge of accessibility best practices and how it applies to design and digital experiences.
- Understand design systems and component driven applications to extend shared patterns and behaviors.
- Can context switch between multiple projects and platforms with differing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand how to plan for iterative design implementation (eg: MVP products that we improve as we go).
- Optional: Experience in or passion for the food industry is a plus
