JOB DESCRIPTION * Brinkerhoff Hospitality is seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee accounting functions and additionally oversee various HR components.



Brinkerhoff Hospitality offers a competitive salary and fantastic benefits that include 100% paid employee healthcare benefits, dental & vision benefits, dining and beverage benefits, and growth potential! *RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE * * Provide accurate and timely financial reporting through financial statements * Complete month-end and year-end closings * Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including review AP invoice batches for accuracy and proper approvals * Manage vendors and issue 1099 to all eligible vendors at the end of the year * Maintain accurate filing of all related invoices, paperwork, permits, and filings as necessary * Record month end journal entries and ensure financial statements are complete and accurate including validating cost of goods sold, labor and expense reporting * Review and manage account reconciliations including payroll reporting * Complete bank, cash, and credit card reconciliation * Ensure financial intergrity of month-end reconciliations and preparations of financial statements * Assist in developing and mainting best practices regarding restaurant / bar cost controls * Prepare and analyze financial statements with management team * Meet regularly with Director of Operations / GM to review P&L and operating trends * File local and state informational returns / forms as needed * Prepare license renewals * Manage payroll for 250-300 full-time and part-time employees * Maintain accurate employee database, including I-9's * Other duties and responsibilities that may arise as required for the success of the Company *KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS * * Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including GAAP * Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.



  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis. * Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with QuickBooks * Proven record of success building solid relationships with superiors, peers, and reports * Excellent attention to detail and deadlines demonstrating an ability to manage several projects.


  • EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION : * * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field * Minimum of 4 years of experience in an Accounting or similar role * Restaurant / retail experience preferred but not required Benefit Conditons : * Only full-time employees eligible Work Remotely * No This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is : * Dependable more reliable than spontaneous * Detail-oriented would rather focus on the details of the work than the bigger picture * Autonomous / Independent enjoys working with little direction Job Type : Full-time Salary : $75,000.
