Technical Writer
Key Role:
Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and sales and training literature. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a technical author or editor of technical or scientific information
Knowledge of grammar, formatting, and document configuration management
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience with technical writing in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with technical writing within the DoD
Experience with test and evaluation products, including test plans, data formatting, and test reporting
Experience in Configuration Management of government or IT-based system
Experience with Developing Configurations, and Change and Document Management processes
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level I Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
