Job Description Summary


Reporting the Division President of Technology Consulting Services, The VP of AI/ML will be responsible for developing and leading our Analytics AI/ML practice across Federal. The VP will play a crucial leadership role to ensure that resources are aligned to support the overall strategic direction of the business segments and overall organization while strengthening the cross-segment functioning of the organization, thereby enabling excellent service and growth.


Job Summary



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


-Key leadership role that will work closely with internal teams to define new services, mission related and Analytics focused resource expansion to meet Federal client requirements for current and future business


-Define and implement strategic, operational, and financial plans


-Focusing on strategic, long range Federal sector opportunities driven by customer mission strategies, requirements and initiatives, current and emerging technology solutions, market trends and current operations modernizations.


-Lead broad-scope projects that have medium to long-term focus of varying duration, size, and complexity


-Oversee the quality, delivery, performance, cost and scope for Analytics initiatives


-Establish strategic plans and objectives for business unit(s).


-Manage external and internal customer relationships


-Lead or participate in the development of responses to Requests for Information, Requests for -Proposals, and other procurement-related activities emanating from government agencies


-Build business process expertise within the team and develop best practices


-Oversee timely and accurate reporting of operation metrics for business leaders and the client


-Partner with stakeholders across the organization to provide direction and translate strategic priorities/goal into defined tactical action plans and milestones. Work with cross functional leaders to understand and influence business strategy, set priorities, and define technology goal


-Provide Analytical solution leadership to the enterprise team to deliver quality data processing solutions for the enterprise.


-Lead AI/ML solutions from scoping through deployment and monitoring.


-Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build AI/ML models to support our lines of business


-Identify and prioritize key areas where AI/ML solutions can drive significant business benefit


-Leading teams to develop AI/ML solutions to showcase potential business impact or validate technical feasibility



Education and Experience


-Bachelor’s Degree: Master's Degree preferred


-15 years of related experience


-Minimum 5+ years leading end-to-end (scoping, design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring) implementation of AI/ML solutions that drive significant business benefit


-Coaching management, business lines and development teams through change management and adoption related to AI/ML transformation


-Knowledge of Federal agency processes and systems


-Relationships with Federal agency organizations


-Ability to thrive in a team/collaborative environment


-Ability to function at a fast pace with multiple deadlines


-Adept at directing multiple projects, managing deliverables, and working on multidisciplinary teams



Education and Experience Requirements


- Minimum 5+ years leading end-to-end (scoping, design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring) implementation of AI/ML solutions that drive significant business benefit.


- 3+ years coaching management, business lines, and development teams through change management and adoption related to artificial intelligence transformation.


- 5+ years leading teams to develop AI/ML prototypes to showcase potential business impact or validate technical feasibility


- 3+ years applying agile project management practices in the delivery of an innovation or transformation project or initiatives.


- 5+ years developing AI/ML prototypes to showcase potential business impact or validate technical feasibility


- 3+ years implementing solutions within cloud environments, including container-based environments (Docker, Kubernetes)


- 5+ years with scientific and machine learning libraries, e.g., SciPy, Scikit-learn, NumPy, spaCy.


- 5+ years with DL frameworks such as Tensorflow and PyTorch


- 2+ years with ML Ops frameworks


- 5+ years in Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and Agile methodologies


- Strong software development skills.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
