iHuman Patients, part of Kaplan, Inc. is a cutting-edge virtual patient simulation providing educational support to medical and nursing faculty. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Development of new accessible features on the front-end of our medical simulation system.
• Working closely with the other developers to design enhancements and features as requested by our product management process.
• Contributing to design and code reviews.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of our next generation product.

Technologies in Use:

• NodeJS and React with Redux
• AWS, Linux servers, MySQL RDS, Mongodb
• Java (not under active development, but experience needed)
• Ruby on Rails
• IDEs: developer's choice, currently using WebStorm, RubyMine, IntelliJ

About You:

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related program
• 5+ years of backend experience in any languages, preferably in , java, ruby.
• 1+ years of frontend experience in react or angular
• You have or can develop a good working knowledge of AWS and MySQL
• You work well with a small team of engineers, and communicate well verbally and in writing.
• You have a thirst for improving your technical skills and seeking to outperform yourself.
• You are willing to learn the backend side as opportunities present themselves.
• You can learn to design, implement, test and maintain i-Human's platform and services.
• You love trying out new systems, languages, frameworks, librarie.
• You are highly energized with a passion for software craftsmanship
