As HR & Payroll Specialist, you will support our mission through your work by embracing and helping carry out our team's focus on hospitality, bringing your A-game to work every day, teamwork, cleanliness and sales.

This position entails a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Assist with process hires function; process hourly promotions, pay rates, transfers and multi-location hires
  • Track and execute employee incentive programs
  • Assist in organizational training and development efforts, including setup, communication, follow up and tracking
  • Assist with performance management program, including logging, reporting, tracking and follow up
  • Process employee terminations, maintain termination files and launch exit interviews
  • Review and process payroll for assigned locations, with Payroll Manager; ensure correct tax and deduction withholdings
  • Respond to hourly employment inquiries in timely manner
  • Maintain employee files, I-9s, and other human resources records, logs, and procedures; ensure confidentiality and retention rules are followed
  • Assist with new hire onboarding by providing updated orientation packets and assisting with in-person and virtual orientations, as needed
  • Assist in planning and execution of HR-driven events, including annual employee party, manager dinner, volunteer opportunities, etc.
  • Assist department in carrying out various human resource programs, projects and procedures for all company employees
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Keep department organized and running smoothly by ensuring various HR processes, filing and reporting practices are carried out, including assisting with several administrative duties, filing, and coordinating and scheduling meetings
  • Perform office administrative duties in conjunction with all other office staff, such as answering phones, greeting and directing guests in friendly way; maintain cleanliness of office and meeting spaces so they are ready for meetings; other support as needed
  • Use personal vehicle to run administrative errands
