Overview:

Position Summary:

This position provides support for a broad range of applications used by Corporate and the Shared Services Center (SSC) customers. 95% of the role will be supporting applications at the SSC, the final 5% on Audit related tasks.

 

Organizational Relationships:

This position reports directly to the Manager Process Development but interacts with a wide range of people including the, Manager of Corporate Applications, Finance, Audit, HR, and various other SSC business and IT teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • (95%) Document and own the various IT applications and programs that support the SSC. This includes Kofax, Paradatec, Fujitsu Scanner UI, Canon Copier UI, OpenText, Hicx, Coupa, and Fortis (through application retirement).
    • Kofax/Paradatec – Administrator will be required to monitor all Kofax Modules, Upkeep of the license utility and associated management reports., Troubleshoot issues with services, modify and improve batch processing, make recommendations for improvements. Maintain the system roadmap and update schedule for this application. Administrator will be responsible for the resolution of any technical support tickets.
    • Fujitsu Scanners – Monitor the scanner UI for issues; work with field support on store issues; control the upgrade schedule and ensure the application is up to date; Maintain the system roadmap and update schedule for this application. Administrator will be responsible for any technical support tickets.
    • Canon Copiers – make sure the SSC copiers are working as expected; make sure all workflow is operational on all devices; work with the SSC operations department when user maintenance is required., maintain an application roadmap. Administrator will be responsible for any technical support tickets
    • OpenText – Monitor the application and all workflows; troubleshoot issues with services; engage with Development or DevOps as necessary to ensure the application is working as expected. Maintain the system roadmap and update schedule for this application. Administrator will be responsible for any technical support tickets
    • Hicx – IT owner of this third-party application; liaison between Hicx IT and AN IT. Maintain the system roadmap and update schedule for this application. Administrator will be responsible for any technical support tickets
    • Coupa – Administrator will assist the technical teams and the business in the setup, maintenance and adjustment of configurations controlled by AutoNation. Maintain the system roadmap and update schedule for this application. Administrator will be responsible for any technical support tickets
    • Fortis – Monitor application as necessary while the system is being decommissioned.
  • (5%) Responsible for assisting with Audit items dealing with the SSC
    • Provide monthly reports for users list, access, and any other Audit requests
    • Ensure that Audit items owned by team members are completed on time and submitted
    • Monitor and maintain user access deleting any access that is no longer appropriate
    • Assist in project work that impacts the SSC teams

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues
  • Strong understanding of process improvement and technical automation
  • Understanding of Audit process
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline
  • Development experience in a Windows-based enterprise software environment, using scripting languages such as Visual Basic, PowerShell and MS SQL are highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages such as MS Excel (preferably with VBA scripting), MS Visio, MS Access & MS Word
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in day to day running of digital document and content management solutions and providing timely responses and solutions to Business Groups as required per the SLA
  • Should have a good blend of Technology and Business Process Management (BPM) knowledge
  • Strong business communication and customer service skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to use/understand APIs to query or post data - Web Services/REST API, SOAP API etc.
  • Good working knowledge in understanding simple to complex PL\SQL scripts and reading data models.

 

Next Possible Position:

Having mastered the tasks for the Software Engineer position, the role could be expanded to take more of an ownership role of the applications it supports, growing into a Senior Software Engineer.
