This position works out of our Bay Area, Austin, Bend, or Orlando location in Lingo.
You will help design the company's cloud strategy and oversee its execution. You will operationally lead all cloud activities including cloud adoption plans, cloud management, and monitoring. You will oversee architecture and deployment in cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid cloud.
What you'll do
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process
- Lead the development of new capabilities and service offerings within AI-enabled cloud operations, containers/Kubernetes, and cloud automation
- Oversee cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models to host, test, develop, and bring to production environments
- Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
- Develop and organize cloud systems
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy
- Offer guidance on infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers to the cloud
- Implement and oversee all aspects of the cloud environment, including provisioning, scale, monitoring, and security
- Deliver cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, with a focus on cloud migrations
- Provide leadership on infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application movements into the cloud, e.g., implementation of Azure or AWS within global enterprise environments
- Drive cloud adoption internally
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture
- Seasoned technologist and cloud expert with deep insights into the newest cloud technologies and trends
- Ability to make architectural decisions at a team and production level
- Ability to communicate technical solution concepts by writing white papers and technical proposals, responding to requests for information, and engaging with communities of practice
- Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units
- Extensive knowledge on app development, cybersecurity, cloud development, and deployment
- Familiarity with cloud security and identity management services
- University degree in Computer Qcience, Systems Engineering, or similar technical disciplines
