Data Manager (Remote)
BAE Systems is looking for a Data Manager to support our engineering teams in planning, preparing, organizing, controlling, and submitting contractually required data. The work is guided by data management policies and procedures, and under the direction of the designated Configuration/Data Management (CDM) Lead. This fast-paced role is vital to the performance of a program throughout its lifecycle. You will be required to review contractual documents, based on the information, construct a 30/60/90 day deliverable look ahead with due dates and proactively communicate to the program, holding individuals accountable to the schedule. You will present deliverable status during program management meetings, as required. Check for accuracy, legibility, and adherence to contractual or Data Item Description (DID) requirements as deliverable items are received while following NSS DM processes. Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, onsite attendance may be required on an as needed bases. This position can be conducted 100% remotely.

Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers in multiple geographic locations.
Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports, metrics and documents.
Create DM bids for proposals for new contracts
Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations and provide guidance to team members regarding contractual and internal requirements.
Obtain and maintain access to various external government websites and resources to deliver contractual data.
Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to schedules/deadlines
Collaborate with various other groups including Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Configuration Management, Finance, etc.
Responsible for archiving contractual data deliveries and program plans in adherence with Record Retention Policies.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail are required to manage many different projects and different deadlines at a time.
Handles company-sensitive, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and export-protected data on a regular basis.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access).
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
B.S. degree, A.S degree with 2 years experience with DM or support of customer deliveries, H.S. degree with 4 years of experience with DM or support of customer deliveries.
Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
Strong communication and organization skills
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
2 years related work experience
Experience reviewing and updating the Data Governance Policy, establishing, documenting, and implementing standardized data management practices, principles, and processes
Understanding of U.S. export laws as they pertain to exporting technical data
Experience working with government contracts
Knowledge of Product Life Management (PLM), Atlassian tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
Strong communication skills and experience working with colleagues in various types of roles and departments
Active Secret clearance
