Position Summary

Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership team to create the vision and strategy to enable the Company's overall talent strategy and culture initiatives.

Provide functional leadership to the Human Resources team and collaborate across the organization to develop strategies and scalable programs, policies and processes to drive business performance and growth objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leadership team on goal alignment, budget and workforce planning to achieve the Company's overall strategic goals.
  • Attract and retain top talent, drive engagement and shape a strong company culture.
  • Partner with functional leaders to drive a high-performance culture.
  • Provide thought leadership and serve as strategic partner to the leadership team.
  • Lead and coach the HR and Administration team to deliver consistent, high-quality services and support.
  • Implement and provide ongoing management of corporate regulatory employment related compliance programs and processes.
  • Direct, educate and collaborate with internal departments to develop and implement processes to ensure operational needs are met while the Company remains compliant internationally.
  • Develop training program to streamline the onboarding process, learning the company culture and get up to speed on the Optical industry.
  • Optimize the use of people related software and tools to streamline the HR function.
  • Foster a culture of open communications and feedback, inclusion, positive interaction, cross-functional relationships and conflict resolution.
  • Liaison with senior leaders within US and China to maximize collaboration opportunities and support international expansion initiatives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years overall functional experience with 5+ years of experience leading the HR function for a company that is over 200 employees.
  • Developed and directed effective HR initiatives including hiring, retaining and developing top talent.
  • Implemented effective policies and processes.
  • Ensured Company abides with labor compliance requirements for a global and remote workforce.
  • Experienced at building and leading teams within high growth and expanding companies.
  • Previous experience on operating a global workforce highly desired.
  • Exceptional leadership competencies with a track record of building and coaching highly performing and collaborative teams.
  • Knowledgeable on industry best practices and applicable laws.
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree desired.
  • HRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) a plus.
  • Technology proficient including with Microsoft Suite and HR software.
  • Ability to read and speak Chinese (Mandarin) strongly desired.
