CTG is seeking an SAP SD Program Lead/Consultant for a Remote Opportunity!



As anSAP Supply & Distribution (SD) Functional Designer,you will be a member of a team responsible for the evaluation and design of Sales Order Execution & Fulfillment focused systems and process improvements. You will participate in the development, support, and maintenance of the order system landscape. This includes SAP S/4HANA, SalesForce Platform Integration, various global online marketplaces and a variety of reporting solutions. You will be accountable for functional spec documentation and for ensuring end users have the ability to efficiently operate within our solutions. This role will include a focus on Sales Order Execution & Fulfillment initiatives.



The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, whose hands-on technical experience and collaborative working-style will help accelerate the implementation of solutions in our Sales Order Execution & Fulfillment value streams.



Contract Length:12+ months



Location:Remote, Pacific work hours might be needed



Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for discovery and solution estimates, scope, and ongoing validation (including any scope changes) of delivery project technical solutions including collaboration with internal and vendor resources – this includes accountability from the initial estimate to the final expense for all assigned solution design requirements on projects


  • Responsible for overall Solution Design including but not limited to Application specific detailed design, Integration, Security, Data/Information Flow, Exception Handling, Operational Readiness, Scalability & Performance, User Interface, Infrastructure Needs, Retire old system/capability, and Licensing implications.


  • Responsible to provide L2/L3 Support SME. Resolves key issues & requests, triage and fix defects which require code changes. Provide root cause analysis of relevant issues.


  • Responsible for the development of required Technical Specification (configuration) documentation in support of the total scope definition and review the complete design in Solution Design Practice Meeting.


  • Participates in project planning, scheduling and deployment for the application and system solutions.


  • Validates that the solution meets Architecture/Security standards and overall reference architecture fit analysis.


  • Bring any exceptions to Architecture Review Board and get approval on the proposed design


  • Responsible for making sure defined SDLC process properly followed by all resources involved in development cycle


  • Responsible for providing development standards, to all 3rd party vendor resources and making sure they are following those.


  • Collaborates with 3rd Party Service Providers, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Security Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure those technical elements are addressed in the overall solution.


  • Collaborates with end-to-end architect and other Functional SME’s to align/assess impact of proposed solution on existing operations so appropriate technical/business/operational risks can be mitigated/accepted. Maintains good working contracts within the Financial & IT teams to ensure strong collaboration.


  • Responsible to the Project Manager to perform oversight to ensure the implementation is delivering the solution.


  • Assures that the technical deliverables are correct and complete.


  • Reviews and signs-off on technical Deliverables in accordance with client standards:


  • Varies by project and is spelled out in the scope.


  • Examine Transition Plan developed by for completeness.


  • Ensures Transition Plan is reviewed by Service Manager.


  • Responsible to understand the impact a defect has on the solution design and that defect corrections have been instituted and what their corresponding impact is to the overall design.


  • Ensures adherence to the IT Change Management process, specifically:


  • Responsible to ensure a Request for Change is raised (created) and content is provided to implement the change into the production environment.


  • Accountable for reviewing and approving the Change content.


  • Attends and participates in the Change Management review meetings as required.


  • Attends and participates in the Service Transition Go / No Go meetings, providing more depth of clarity or explanation concerning the technical solution, as required.


  • SD Consultant should be able to work independently to achieve current aims either over a fixed period of time or a specific piece of project work and should be able to prioritize effort on that basis. They will receive direction for other decision making.


  • Contributes to Lessons Learned throughout the project life cycle and participates in final Lessons learned review.




Basic Qualifications:




  • 5+ yrs in SAP implementations, with an emphasis on the Order to Cash process areas.


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent required.


  • Proven ability to design, review, and implement solutions that improve the efficiency of Business Operations by leveraging SAP.


  • Proven ability in data mapping, report generation, testing, training, documentation


  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with business process owners and IT to identify and solve process improvements.




Preferred Qualifications:




  • Available to Promise, Payment processing and credit card authorizations


  • Well-rounded functional knowledge of some or all: billing, EDI, delivery orders/PGI, pricing, credit memos, tax, order management, Order types, item categories, schedule lines,


  • Master Data Management experience (Customers, Materials, Pricing, etc.).


  • S/4 HANA experience
