Aguirre & Fields is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Graduate Engineer - Structures Division in the Sugar Land, TX office.

POSITION SUMMARY
Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced professional engineer to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria necessary to fulfill the experience requirement for licensure as a professional engineer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide leadership with grit and character by being a good communicator, having an interest in learning, be inspiring, a visionary, a team builder, live our Purpose, help achieve our Vision, allow others to shine, taking responsibility, leading by example, and being dependable, respectful, passionate and an active listener.
- Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks by a professional engineer.
- Perform routine technical work.
- Prepare routine plans, designs and calculations, and cost estimates by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines.
- Acquire an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Receive close supervision on all aspects of assignments.
- Interact and assist with other staff on assignments.
- Assume other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures, practices, rules.
- Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Guiding Principles.
- Live our Purpose and help achieve our Vision.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program
- Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred but not required
- Relevant technology/software experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
