Senior Engineering Manager (REMOTE)

GEICO is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer Manager who will be responsible for the operations of IT Hardware and Software asset lifecycle management.

Work with current leadership to build the go-forward IT Asset Management Strategy for both Hardware and Software, including the organizational structure and staffing needs.

Based upon that strategy:

• Hire appropriate staff to support the organization.


• Identify gaps between the strategy and current ITAM / SAM practices.


• Create plans to eliminate those gaps

On an on-going basis

• Recommend and establish new ITAM / SAM processes for continuous improvement.


• Oversee and manage appropriate ITAM & SAM portals for asset management.


• Maintain records containing appropriate information re: licenses, warranties, Service Agreements, usage, location, etc. for the companies Hardware and software assets.


• In conjunction with our Corporate Contracts Management team, manage contracts and relationships to maximize value and minimize costs for software & hardware acquisition and maintenance.


• Develop & deliver metrics and presentations to Senior mgmt. for project, budget, and Audit preparedness.


• Lead and Guide the ITAM / SAM team(s) on day-to-day activities. Including developing SMART goals for the team and providing coaching and performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years' experience working / leading an ITAM / SAM organization


• Experience in leading the creation of an IT Asset management organization


• Strong Problem solving and time management skills


• Attention to Detail


• Highly organized.


• Strong interpersonal and communication (Written & Verbal) skills


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred.
