Director Commercial Development - Drug Products

Ideally, we are looking for someone to develop and commercialize targeted business approaches and operative pricing strategies for Drug Product Services that facilitate and contribute to the Business Unit expansion strategy. Ensure the BU’s strategy consistently delivers sales and profitability growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the BU business by optimizing project portfolio, sold margin, and applying innovative business models and approaches to customer
  • Assist the sales and business development teams with technical and operational queries, exploring extensions to our standard service offerings, supporting customer discussion and contract negotiations including alignment with other business units
  • Develop creative business cases and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities
  • Actively contribute to the development of the BU strategy and manage agreed commercial strategic plans to deliver planned business growth goals
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape through harnessing competitive and market intelligence input with operational capability to identify and target market growth opportunities

Requirements

REMOTE USA, (ideally Boston, New York, California)

  • Extensive commercial Business-to-Business knowledge, preferably in the (Bio-) Pharmaceutical/CMO industry, with a specific focus on injectables/parenteral Drug Product
  • Degree in Life Sciences, preferably with an Business Qualification (ideally MBA) in addition; or a Business Degree with relevant life science industry experience
  • Expertise in creating and developing business models and approaches for market expansion opportunities
  • Excellent communication- and presentation skills
  • Proactive approach, goal orientated, strategic thinker and a strong team player
  • Fluency in English

The full-time base annual salary for this remote position is expected to range between $176,000.00 and $206,000.00 annually. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including performance-related bonus, medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
