The Associate Director of Financial Aid and Graduate Student Services is responsible for administering the financial aid for College of Engineering graduate students. This professional must ensure that awards meet University rules, the requirements of the granting agencies, as well as all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Position is responsible for overseeing all Title IV eligibility requirements are followed and the Graduate College of Engineering is compliant with Department of Education regulations, laws, and policies. As an integral part of the Graduate Programs office, this position works closely with other team members to coordinate financial aid with admissions activities.

The position assists with FAFSA completion, resolution, and eligibility problems; councils students; advises students on loan consolidation options and helps them retain good loan standing. The role requires very strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, computer, and process management skills. With a very close attention to detail and accuracy in all work products for which they are responsible. For example: counseling students on federal financial aid/loans; data analytics; federal financial aid regulations; PhD funding; enrollment services; and, departmental liaison.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required, Master's degree preferred. 8 + years of relevant experience required. Diplomacy and dependability in collaborating with students, faculty, staff and resources across the University.
