Remote Substation Project Engineer
Requirements
6-8 years of substation design (either physical or protection and controls design)
Open to obtaining a Professional Engineering license
Experience doing design checks or point-to-point checks
Bachelor's Degree
Plusses
PE license or PMP
In CST or EST time zones
Experience calculating budgets/estimates, helping with scheduling, or leading project teams

Insight Global's client is looking for a Remote Substation Project Engineer, to manage projects in their Protection and Controls, and Physical design teams. The position will consist of 70% project based work, and 30% management duties. The project work will consist of monitoring budgets, scheduling, estimates, and client interaction.
From a management standpoint, they will be responsible for assigning resources for projects, do design checks, etc.
Other responsibilities include:
- Project documentation - scope of work, budgets, schedule of completion estimates
- Leading assigned project teams, ensuring goals are being met, and processes and procedures are being followed
- Assist with controlling project expenses and ensure budget is on par
- See projects through close-out
-Conduct meetings with project stakeholders to give updates on completion status, follow-up, and action items
-Coordinate design documentation and drawings for substation projects
