SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Junior Software Tester to join our team

This is a strategic weapons system software test position that requires coding/scripting ability and training in Agile methodologies.

Software tester will work on a project team within a large program where excellent communication skills and teamwork are just as important as technical ability.

The ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision, along with personal initiative, are necessary to be successful in the position.

Unix/Linux, C and C++ are desired knowledge areas and languages.


Responsibilities:
Write test descriptions

Review other testers' test descriptions and provide constructive feedback

Execute static and dynamic testing and document test results

Collaborate with developers to ensure understanding and resolution of bugs

Utilize
DOORS and proprietary systems to link requirements to test cases and provide configuration management of project documentation


Required Skills & Experience:
Ability to script or code in C, C++ or JavaScript

Demonstrated analytical skills, as evidenced through through either previous paid/unpaid technical work or personal projects

Strong teaming skills

Excellent communication skills
