Position Purpose:

• This position will support, manage and drive enterprise strategic initiatives with heavy focus on financial and qualitative results.
• This position will partner with key functional leaders and senior management to identify and execute on portfolio of initiatives including Centene Forward transformational projects and HBR market/product initiatives.
• In addition, this position will manage the strategic budgeting and investment prioritization process for the portfolio enterprise strategic initiatives.

The Ideal candidate will have the following experience: strategic finance in that they have managed an investment prioritization process and project execution.

In this Director, Finance and Performance Management role, you will:

• Performance manage cross-functional teams to drive business strategy and issue resolution from ideation through implementation/execution
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities that could hinder or accelerate the impact or execution of initiatives and recommend solutions to improve performance
• Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting summaries prepared for Senior Management on initiative performance and status
• Monitor realization of benefits, including tracking financial and qualitative results
• Review return on investment (ROI) calculations and evaluate proposed benefit realization, including assessing confidence in value, timeline after accounting from level of risk
• Review and approve key performance indicator and financial benefit realization tracking methodology
• Manage and facilitate the strategic budgeting and investment prioritization process for the organization.
• Present strategic budgeting and investment prioritization results to senior leadership.

Note:

• Travel required: 10%. If not located in St. Louis, monthly/quarterly travel to Corporate Headquarters for team meetings would be required (2-3 days at a time).
• This position is remote, with 10% travel required to HQ's. Due to the needs of the business, candidate must be available to work a Central Standard Time (CST) schedule.
• Preferred experience: Candidate that has strategic finance in that they have managed an investment prioritization process and project execution.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent experience is required; Graduate Degree preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of performance management or financial/analytics experience in a leadership role is required
• Strong financial and analytical background is required
• Managed care or health insurance industry experience is preferred
• At least 3 years of management experience is required
• If not located in St. Louis, monthly travel to Corporate Headquarters for team meetings would be required (2-3 days at a time)
