Job Description

We are looking for a talented Solution Architect to join our team and continue our digital transformation from on-prem to Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

As the Solution Architect, you will be a leader on the Digital technology team responsible for designing solutions to address and solve specific business problems within an organization, including IoT-enabled Smart Factories.

In this role, you will work with the organizations leaders to identify problems and work with our Engineering Teams to address them with innovative, high quality solution design and integration architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze current on-prem and cloud technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates
• Designing, modifying, and testing technical architectures
• Provide technical guidance to development teams in all aspects of the proposed technical stacks and designs
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams
• Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
• Account for possible project challenges on constraints, including risks, time, resources, scope, and cost
• Assess the business impact that specific technical decisions have
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology or computer science is preferred
• 7+ years of experience in IT and business/industry
• Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with cloud technologies, preferably Azure, and databases
• Experience architecting IoT-based solutions
• In-depth understanding of coding languages, preferably Java or Javascript
• Must possess strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
• Efficient communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Demonstrated experience as a technology subject matter expert on previous teams
• Demonstrated experience as an architect on previous teams
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
