Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer/CAD designer:

Responsibilities:

� Mechanical design of power electronic assemblies and simple test fixtures

� Detailed CAD design of aluminum housings, busbars, plastic support assemblies, internal wiring components

� Coordination of CAD models among various Delta engineering locations

� Generation of presentation material for customer reviews, including exploded views, dimensioned subassemblies, assembly sequences, and related items

� Detailed engineering calculations to ensure that part strength, bolted joints, and material cross sections are adequate for the requirements

Requirements:

� BS or MS degree in Engineering

� 5+ years of design engineering experience on mechanical design, automotive products preferred

� Must have hands on experience using CREO and Solidworks

� Strong skills and consistent use of thoughtful model feature structuring

� Must have hands on experience with PDM system for proper control of CAD models

� Ability to work independently and innovate solutions to complex problems

� Capable of working on multiple projects at the same time

� Ability to work with multi-cultural global cross functional teams

� Strong design for manufacturing skills

� Strong communication skills

� Chinese language capability is a plus

� Familiarity with Automotive Design Validation requirements and DFMEA is a plus
