About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Investigators for Research. There are positions will report to various managers within Research.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct investigations and gather comprehensive evidentiary materials on cases with moderate to high risk or complexity related to individual allegations
  • Train, consult, and provide risk based investigative products and services to all lines of business
  • Gather comprehensive evidentiary materials using technology expertise
  • Guide and execute internal investigation programs with moderate to high risk or complexity
  • Make risk-based decisions in compliance with company based on legal and regulatory requirements and recommend actions in response to investigations
  • Present recommendations for case resolution
  • Provide examination of complex allegations and diverse staff relations problems using independent judgment based on in-depth review of company policy and procedures and employment law legislation
  • Function under a moderate degree of guidance and supervision with limited exposure to client senior management
  • Create and provide communication to reporting parties, investigators and leaders as well as law enforcement and legal counsel
  • Collaborate with staff relations, legal, business management, and other resources to offer decision recommendations based on investigation results
  • Serve as the primary client contact on assigned casework
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 2+ years of Investigations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
  • Good analytical skills including strategically analyzing data, diagnosing opportunities, and providing interventions
  • Sales Practice Conduct Management Experience
The Investigation Support team is responsible for providing a wide range of support to Enterprise Investigations. This includes intake, research, triage, and distribution of allegations referred to Conduct Management. These positions are an exciting opportunity to be part of Investigation Support - Intake or Research teams.

Positions specific responsibilities include:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for routing concerns to the appropriate partner/group when the concern(s) does not meet the definition of an allegation
  • Lead day to day Intake or Research activities in an oversight and risk management role for their respective teams
  • Provide training to Investigations Associates and assist them with procedural questions
  • Identify opportunities to drive partnership and collaboration with other functions
  • Participate and/or lead Conduct Management led initiatives and workstreams
  • Provide a wide range of analytical in-depth research support that is consistent with the overall Conduct Management program
  • Assist management to in driving process and procedural efficiencies
  • Perform case reviews to ensure research is complete, accurate and meets established quality standards. In addition, confirm case documentation is consistent with documented policies, procedures, and expectations. Provide appropriate feedback and guidance on case review findings and identify and escalate quality trends
  • Collaborate with peers and internal partners to drive a comprehensive research methodology that leverages best practices and maximizes productivity
  • Mentor Investigative Associates and Contingent Resources to ensure they are performing the appropriate level of research on assigned cases
