Role – Cloud Native Architect

Cloud Native Architects help US Government platform and application teams deliver modern, mission-critical capabilities to their users. Cloud Native Architects are hands-on practitioners who work collaboratively with clients and colleagues on cross-functional teams to build hardened, accredited platforms and modern applications. They possess a depth of knowledge in modern platform and application architecture and help drive rapid, incremental outcomes that align with the strategic vision.

Skills and Experience:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical pre-sales, support, or consulting role
• Domain expertise in infrastructure or programming concepts
• Robust proficiency in Linux & CLI, several years of experience in VM infrastructure
• 2+ years of experience with container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker or PaaS (e.g. Cloud Foundry)
• Deep expertise in cloud-native design and agile software delivery principles
• Experience with one or more development frameworks such as Spring/Java, Ruby/Rails, .NET
• Core/C#/ASP.NET/WCF, or Go and messaging and database systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, RDBMS, NoSQL)
• Experience with modern software build tools including Maven, Gradle, and Bundler
• Experience in service mesh technologies such as Istio and Envoy
• Familiarity with application developer challenges, interests and deployment patterns for Modern Applications
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies, including refactoring
• Ability to incrementally define and improve system architecture as a product evolves
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building distributed, service oriented, cloud-based systems
• Experience modernizing legacy applications/systems
• Experience with Domain Driven Design
• Experience facilitating large groups of people
• Polyglot programming experience
• Strong presentation skills
• Leads by doing

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $89,207.95 - $195,315.76 per year
