The IEO organization plays a fundamental role in delivering IaaS for the ISG Development teams.

We accelerate the pace of development to meet their needs by ensuring all critical systems are running 24x7 in support of Engineering Development while at the same time driving division wide Transformation Initiatives to modernize Engineering Operations across multiple lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsiblefor the sustainment and maintenance of our core K8s infrastructure within a Bare Metal and Virtual infrastructure to appropriate standards and best practices in a fast-paced work environment
• Be the technical lead for "Kubernetes as a Service" offering for the internal customers in assisting the requirements for "On Demand K8s Cluster" on On-prem cloud with its different phases providing expert guidance
• Monitoring Kubernetes cluster components, management software for physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructures using Wavefront, Prometheus and Grafana. Managing application logs
• Responsible for administering system-level procedures; service layer application; deployment creation; scheduling redundancy management and certificate management
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems with any Kubernetes objects like deployments, pods, namespaces, replication controllers, daemon sets, schedulers etc.
• Linux system administration on physical and virtual servers to include installation and maintaining the hardware,software, and applications.
• Responsible for configurations and adjustments to enhance system performance and obtain overall health of environment
• Ensure the necessary security procedures are implemented and enforced across their work, Patch management
• Assist in documentation of project requirements, statements of work, and service descriptions
• Provide general level client/server and SAN/storage array support
• Ensure backup and recovery for critical assets to include Disaster Recovery Plan
• Provides technical expertise in the development of collaborative platform client application/customer interface
• On Call support:

will have to extend over weekends and holidays on a rotational basis to meet the requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Industry knowledge and experience with cloud-native architectures, services-based architecture, container-based solutions development, delivery, and operations as deployed for a variety of environments and use cases
• Proven experience with designing, developing, and delivering global-scale platforms for Software-defined data centers, container technologies in the industry (Docker, Kubernetes, NSX-T, Flanel, Calico etc), DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools.
• Expert working knowledge in Vmware Tanzu K8s Grid Services, Tanzu application services, Tanzu Namespaces, Supervisor Clusters, Tanzu Namespaces, TKG cluster, Cluster API
• Have a strong background in VMWare virtualization, networking/SAN, security, containerization technologies, devops, automation, and high-value workloads/Enterprise applications
• Programming/Scripting experience with Yaml, Python, Shell; configuration management/orchestration tools, Ansible, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitOps, etc.
• Understanding of Infrastructure, Network & Application monitoring also Experience with NGINX / Haproxy software load-balancer and on Avi Load Balancer

Desirable Requirements

• Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Infoblox
