Duties, Responsibilities & Other



  •  

    Tower Foreman - Climber



    • Minimum 2 yrs. of climbing experience

    • Must be able to complete and pass the COMTRAIN and NWSA certifications, as well as any other required training.

    • Must have the ability to climb & work proficiently 200 towers

    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    • Must have the ability to achieve and maintain a DOT medical card

    • Must be able to pass a urinalysis

    • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings, RFDS and SOW documents

    • Must adhere to OSHA, NATE, Customer and Wireless Quality & Safety Standards

    • Must demonstrate the ability to be a Leader/Mentor.  Provide guidance, actively train and promote learning to all crew members.

    • Must be able to complete a JSA (job safety analysis) daily & perform safety inspection before and during the workday

    • Must be responsible & self-motivated, able to work with little to no direction

    • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the following:


      • Ability to use PIM / Sweep Test Gear

      • Ability to use Connector Tools, able to install connectors on all size coax

      • Ability to install coax / fiber trunks on the tower

      • Ability to install antennas: set RETs, Down tilts, Azimuths

      • Ability to collect, assemble, and submit closeout documentation


    • Must be able to identify material required for the completion of the project

    • Must be able to maintain a high level of work quality

    • Coordinate with customer representative(s) for site related activities and maintain a good working relation with the various customers.

    • Must possess organizational, computer and communication skills.

    • Maintain equipment and vehicles in operational condition.  

     

    Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions and climates, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, travel for overnight and extended stay projects is possible. Pre-employment drug testing is required as a condition of employment. EOE/M/F/Veteran/Disabled



Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.

  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.


Performance Expectations



  • Participate in cross - training as requested to build a stronger team

  • Communicate your work flow needs to your team and to your supervisor

  • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures

  • Accurately records and reports daily forms per project requirements

  • Communicates effectively with client, contractor, staff, and supervisor

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Proactively resolves problems at the lowest level

  • Adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget

  • Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting

  • Submits accurate time sheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week

  • Reviews jobsite safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues

  • Understands OSHA Safety Standards and KCI corporate policies and follows them at all times

  • Accurately record and report your work each day on the forms provided

  • Inspect and correct your own work before turning it in

  • Perform all task assignments using required industry standards

  • Review all work assigned to you before beginning your work

  • Understand all applicable industry standards for your assigned tasks

  • Work with your team to maximize your production and accuracy to help us achieve our goal

  • Has the specific knowledge to perform all duties

  • Maintains all required certifications and participates in training courses as required

  • Understands all applicable industry standards for project and performs all tasks per standards and client requirements
