Currently we are looking for a qualified individual to work as a GIS Technical Specialist (Fully Remote Job) with our direct client in Raleigh, NC.
***This is a remote position. Contractors who live outside of North Carolina will not be issued any state computer equipment. They are required to use DIT’s Citrix Remote PC system, and their personal or vendor provided computer equipment to access DIT’s systems.***
The Client is seeking a GIS Technical Specialist contractor for an approximate 12-month engagement. The position will be assigned to the GIS Unit to specifically provide Business Analysis support to the GIS Unit’s Project Delivery team. This position will primarily support project ATLAS software and data development but may engage in supporting other Project Delivery tasks or projects such as SPOT On!ine or the Comprehensive Transportation Planning Toolset. The responsibilities of this support service is gathering and documenting requirements, tracking and guiding the Project Delivery tasks and collaboration for the effective delivery of the software. The candidate will use Microsoft DevOps on a daily basis in support of these efforts.
