Program Manager - Aerospace

This individual works closely with customers and internal personnel and will manage and resolve technical and contractual problems on complex programs that require ingenuity and innovation. They ensure solutions are consistent with organization objective. They function as a lead with an occasional request for help from a mentor and are recognized as a job expert within the company.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Acts as primary customer contact.
• Establishes customer rapport to facilitate company objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Leads proposal development and negotiation for new business within established guidelines.
• Coordinates gathering and technical analysis of customer requirements.
• Provides general coordination, timelines, and objectives for Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, QA, and Support organizations.
• Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.
• Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.
• Transitions projects to production and to the Marketing administrator.
• Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.
• Researches and identifies program forecasts, program and/or customer funding.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or having equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Attention to details and accuracy are position critical.
• Leadership, problem solving, and computer skills and knowledge are a pre-requisite.
