Job Description and Responsibilities - – Mechanical Engineering Technician
Support Engineers in the development and application of Braking Electronic Control Units. Building of Prototype samples, usage of hand tools and machine shop equipment to manufacture and/or modify components. Setup and execution of Mechanical and Environmental testing. Working with electronics hardware equipment (oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc.) and soldering. Work with software to program and generate test scripts. Work with data gathering sensors such as thermocouples, strain gages and pressure sensors. Use of data gathering equipment and software (excel, labview, etc..) Perform Inspection analysis of components, use of Microscope, CMM, Calipers, Micrometers, Photo documentation.
Responsibilities also include documenting all activities and generating data files and/or reports. Assist Engineers and other Technicians in activities related to product development and analysis. Complete tasks within budgeted hours and schedule.
Some travel maybe required out of state. Expected to be less than 10 % and not regularly occurring. Overtime expected and would need to work evenings and weekends occasionally.
Requirements:
Associates Degree (Bachelor's preferred)
2-4 years of related expereince
