ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and practical Business Process Analyst who can help build and evolve critical, enterprise-level data governance and compliance projects and programs. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders in operations, engineering, manufacturing, legal, finance, IT, and other business units. The successful candidate will possess a strong sense of urgency and drive to meeting tight deadlines, above average ability to influence stakeholders to action, and exceptional analytical and writing skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive strategy implementation by owning analytical, tactical, and operational responsibilities to meet key milestones and deadlines and achieve timely compliance
  • Support development and enhancement of Data Governance programs including data quality, security, privacy and protection
  • Identify, analyze, and document current state, gaps, and future state and help drive required changes in systems and processes
  • Draft new, and improve current, business processes into a stable, efficient, and robust process, including collaborating with key stakeholders on creation of key data and system flows
  • Coordinate implementation of necessary and appropriate technology changes and controls to meet changes in regulatory landscape
  • Monitor new processes to ensure effective implementation and that systems are functioning as intended
  • Proactively conduct research related to specific projects and trends to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Audit systems and controls periodically to ensure consistent and compliant use of controls and business processes

WHO YOU ARE

Experience and Education

  • Master’s degree in Business or Computer Science (or related discipline) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience; OR bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science (or related discipline) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience includes business process analysis, process design, and project management for data projects and/or other relevant technical/analytical projects in a multi-national corporation or top tier consulting firm, with substantial focus on data governance and compliance
  • Experience managing and helping build successful data governance programs, including management and protection of IP and customer and other sensitive data
  • Hands-on project management leading global projects consisting of cross-functional teams across multiple business units
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly identify and solve complex problems using strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience in complete project life cycle, from inception to successful completion
  • Proven ability to liaise between the business and IT on project requirements, design, testing, and deployment
  • Demonstrated success in highly visible, transformational project delivery, under tight deadlines and pressure while ensuring quality and standards are maintained
  • Experience with trade, IP, and/or privacy and data protection compliance desired

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of information governance principles
  • Strong functional and technical skills in Data Governance including metadata management and data profiling
  • Advanced proficiency with Visio, SQL, Tableau, PowerPoint or other visualization tools, Word and Excel
  • Strong project management and leadership skills as well as demonstrated expertise in complex problem solving, change management and time management
  • Ability to influence beyond authority in a complex and matrixed organization
  • Flexible, pragmatic, with a keen sense of humor
  • Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships
  • Organized, meticulous and conscientious
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload and stakeholder environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written & verbal), presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations quickly
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and independent individual with minimal guidance
  • Experience using one or more data management/governance tools desired
  • Program/project management, PMP (Project Management Professional) certification desired
