Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working in the Optum Financial Office of Provider & Consumer Affairs (OPCA) providing oversight for a team of specialists responding to regulatory inquiries from consumers and/or providers/payers
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for specialists to further enhance performance outcomes
  • Provide review/pre-approval of regulatory responses generated to ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy, and completeness for regulatory submissions
  • Provide regulatory response reporting of outcomes on regulatory basis including daily, monthly and quarterly

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing/proactively identifying solutions for regulatory inquiries
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams responding to regulatory, consumer and/or provider inquiries.
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer and/or provider quality auditing and operational processing preferably in banking, financial services and/or healthcare.
  • High proficiency w/ Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio (basic table query operations)
  • Experience using Microsoft Project (develop a plan / timeline, assign resources to tasks, track progress)
  • Superior customer service & support skills/knowledge
  • Strong business acumen
  • Knowledge of financial services products (e.g. HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, etc.)
