Apex Systems is hiring multiple QC Technicians to work with a major food manufacturing company in Swedesboro, NJ

Contract: 6 month contract to hire
Shift: 2nd, 3pm-12am
Pay Range: $20-$21/hour, depending on experience

Summary:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the overall Quality and Food Safety of products. Must be well-versed in the Quality standards set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and other Regulatory agencies pertaining to processed meat products. Provide clear and concise documentation reports on a daily basis regarding the operation as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices of the plant and company personnel.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Pre-Operational and Operational Inspections and document findings.
Review finished product labels in the Re-pack Room and prepare processing for the next day.
Perform Warehouse Documentation reviews.
Execute Temperature Monitor Checks in accordance with the established HACCP program.
Perform Receiving Inspections.
Communicate Foreign Object discoveries and provide root cause identification and corrective action measures.
Inspect returned goods, document findings, and provide disposition.
Perform Shelf-Life testing and assist in sampling collection.
Provide Chemically Lean testing results and fat testing.
Execute ATP environmental swabbing in the facility (both food contact and non-food contact surfaces).
Requirements:
HS degree or AS with 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment
Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook; able to complete formulas
Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in English
Excels as a team player
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Preferred qualifications:
Meat exposure / meat experience a plus
HACCP Certified preferred
USDA manufacturing exposure/experience a plus
