Accountant - Manufacturing - Cicero, IL

I'm partnered on an exclusive Accountant search for a family-owned, multi-million dollar manufacturing company near Cicero, IL (2-3 day's work from home). This client has been around for almost 100 years and prioritize keeping both their employees and their customers happy!

• Complete the month-end close process
• Implement system improvements for the month-end close process
• Partner with the Controller to develop methods of streamlining critical month-end reports
• Support the payables process through review of Goods Received
• Maintaining and optimizing current cash reporting and bank reconciliations
• Reviews of manufacturing variances, general ledger activity, and internal controls
• Develop into an integral member of the Finance Team and backup to the Controller

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• General understanding of GAAP
• 1+ year of experience
• ERP system (Oracle JD Edwards)
• Strong excel experience
• Manufacturing experience
